Whitelisting your Staff and/or Devices

            Your staff will surely want to connect to the WiFi whilst at work but you don’t want to count them as visitors (they will end up looking like your most loyal customers!) so you can whitelist their devices.


            You can also use this feature to Whitelist other devices on the network i.e. Sonos Music players, Access Points etc.

            First, you will need the MAC Address; to find the MAC address of a phone, follow these steps:

            iPhone:

            1. Tap Settings

            2. Select General

            3. Select About

            4. The Mac address is listed as Wi-Fi Address.


            Android

            1. On the Home screen, tap the Menu key and go to Settings

            2. Scroll down and tap About Phone (or Tablet, if it’s a Tablet)

            3. Tap Status and then scroll down to view WiFi Mac address


            Windows Phone

            1. From the StartScreen, swipe left to display the App List.

            2. Go to Settings > About > More Info.

            3. The MAC address is listed in this section


            Now, to whitelist the device within the Connect Portal:

            1. Within your location, select ‘Wi-Fi' → Network/WiFi’



            2. In the top right, hit ‘New’ then you’ll be prompted to fill in their name and MAC Address:



            3. Hit 'Add'

            If at any point in the future you want to remove their Whitelist Access simply select ‘Remove’ next to their device.
