Timeouts

You can set it so a user's connection automatically ends (and they have to reconnect) based on one of two things:

Session: How long someone has been connected for and actively using the internet. You probably want this set to hours

Idle: How long they’ve been connected but not active i.e. they’ve logged in, checked emails then locked their phone and put it in their pocket. You probably want the idle setting to be fairly short so you can free up space for other users.

            1. In your location, select “Setup”.

            2. Go to “UniFi Setup” and adjust the timeout time as you wish. It’s based on minutes, so use 60 as for an hour and so on.

            3. For Mikrotiks an additional tab on the “Setup” tab will appear. This tab will be called “Timeouts”.

In this option, you can adjust the timeout based on set parameters. Ranging from 5 minutes up to 12 hours.

            Make sure to hit save!
